Project summary
In this Westchester condo renovation, I converted a builder-basic unit into a glamour bachelorette pad. The client wanted a modern home that was comfortable, reflected her African heritage, and was great for entertaining. I designed custom upholstery, thoughtfully placed existing art, and added a home bar to address these goals. Thoughtful space planning, meticulous detailing, and layers of luxurious materials were employed to create a chic environment that reflected the interests and culture of our client.
Brief
The client wanted a modern home that felt comfortable, entertaining-ready, and unmistakably personal. The design direction needed to reflect her African heritage without sacrificing the polished atmosphere of a glamorous city home.

Design Moves
Custom upholstery, thoughtfully appointed artwork, and a dedicated home bar infused the interior with a vibrant social atmosphere. Intentional space planning and meticulous attention to detail ensured that the combination of various luxurious materials felt purposeful and cohesive.

Existing artwork received custom framing, while accessories were expertly sourced from art fairs, showrooms, and exclusive trade vendor
Outcome
The renovation turned a generic condo into a memorable home with cultural specificity and real entertaining utility. It reads as polished and expressive while still feeling relaxed enough for everyday living.
